The Collector's Guide to Heavy Metal Volume 2: The Eighties with CD (Audio)
A tribute to metal's golden age, this volume highlights the albums and bands of the 1980s that built the foundation for today's heavy metal sound. It also includes little-known trivia that brings the albums back to life.

Skid Row (heavy metal band) - Skid Row is an American heavy metal band which became the hard rock prototypes of the late 1980s metal scene and were reasonably successful until they were eclipsed by the Seattle grunge bands in 1991. While lumped in with hair bands, partly due to their appearance and sound in the early years, Skid Row were in fact far and away heavier than just about any other band considered "hair metal".

Saint (Heavy Metal) - Saint was a Christian metal band, first active in the mid-1980s, releasing their first album "Warriors of the Sun" in 1984.

Witchfinder General (band) - Witchfinder General were a heavy metal band from the United Kingdom who were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement during the early 1980s. They are strongly influenced by Black Sabbath, and are widely recognised today as one of the pioneers of the doom metal style.

Pentagram (band) - Pentagram are a long-running American heavy metal band from Virginia, most famous as performers of Sabbathesque doom metal. The band has existed in some form since the early 1970s but did not release any records until the early 1980s.
